The recruitment process
Recruitment fills a vacancy in several stages:
- Identify the vacancy and prepare a job description (the tasks and duties) and a person specification (the skills and qualities needed).
- Advertise the post (internally or externally).
- Receive applications (CV / application form / letter).
- Shortlist suitable candidates.
- Interview and use selection tests.
- Make an offer to the best candidate.
