Biological molecules and food tests

  • Carbohydrates — made of simple sugars (e.g. glucose); stored as starch.
  • Proteins — made of amino acids; for growth/repair and enzymes.
  • Lipids (fats/oils) — made of glycerol and fatty acids; energy store and insulation.
