Photosynthesis makes glucose using light energy: carbon dioxide+water→light, chlorophyllglucose+oxygen\text{carbon dioxide} + \text{water} \xrightarrow{\text{light, chlorophyll}} \text{glucose} + \text{oxygen}carbon dioxide+waterlight, chlorophyll​glucose+oxygen It happens in chloroplasts (containing chlorophyll), mainly in leaf cells.
