Averages and spread, frequency charts, cumulative frequency, and probability including combined events and tree diagrams.

Averages and range

    Mean =sum of valuesnumber of values= \dfrac{\text{sum of values}}{\text{number of values}}=number of valuessum of values.
    Median — the middle value when ordered (mean of the two middle values for an even count).
    Mode — the most frequent value.
    Range =largest−smallest= \text{largest} - \text{smallest}=largest−smallest (a measure of spread).

For a frequency table, the mean is ∑fx∑f\dfrac{\sum fx}{\sum f}∑f∑fx. For grouped data, use the midpoint of each class as an estimate of xxx.
