Energy stores and transfers, conservation of energy, kinetic and gravitational potential energy, work, power and efficiency.
Energy stores and transfers
Energy is stored in various ways: kinetic (movement), gravitational potential (height), chemical (fuels, food), elastic strain (stretched/compressed), thermal (internal), electrostatic, magnetic and nuclear. Energy is transferred mechanically (forces), electrically, by heating, or by waves (light/sound).
