Collision theory, activation energy, catalysts and the Maxwell–Boltzmann distribution, plus dynamic equilibrium and Le Chatelier's principle.
This chapter explains how fast reactions go and how far they proceed.
Collision theory
A reaction occurs when particles collide with enough energy (the activation energy, ) and the correct orientation. Rate increases with concentration/pressure, temperature, surface area and a catalyst.
